Abacaxi are a band mixing elements of indie, funk, house and brasilian music. Though that may sound like an awful combination, it may be the sweetest and strangest concoction you’ve heard in a long time.

After a ‘90s childhood spent collecting tapes & CDs, Papa Lou started buying records in 1998, DJ’ing in 2007, and organising club nights in 2009. I currently run Telephones, Woweembeem, Discotekken and The RnB Club at several mid-sized clubs in Dublin (usually 3/400 capacity). He plays music with soul; jazz, disco, afro, reggae, hip hop, rnb, house, techno, electro and lots of other associated sub-genres.
