Aware Charity strives to create societal awareness for people affected by stress, depression, bipolar and mental health disorders while ensuring that they feel supported, stigma-free and are encouraged to access appropriate therapies.
We are students of Dublin Institute of Technologies ‘ New Venture Creation’ module which involves the creation of an event to raise funds for a charity of our choice. Our chosen charity is Aware. Depression is a pervasive issue which is too often ignored by those suffering from it as well as those around them. Mental health is something which has long been neglected within our society and something that is especially prevalent within the student population.
