Below, the show of the moment, the one everyone’s talking about, has been occupying for two weeks the No. 1 spot in Netflix’s Top 10 most-watched shows. However, it isn’t, in fact, the absolute most-watched title in streaming. The latest data provided by Nielsen attributes the crown to another title released at the same time. We’re talking about Carrie, a supernatural horror on Prime Video drawn from Stephen King’s famous novel of the same name, brought to life by the master of the genre Mike Flanagan. In the week from October 5 to 11, 2026, the adaptation was watched in the United States for 1.26 billion minutes, 6% more than the mystery drama starring Josh Hartnett. The latter, however, clinched the second position with 1.18 billion minutes watched.
Note how Carrie allows Prime Video to extend a particularly positive period, after the previous seven weeks during which it had claimed the top spot five times, including with the action drama Reacher, still in the Top 10, and with its spin-off Neagley. The platform has already rewarded the series for its success, renewing it in recent hours for a second season. Equally notable is the result of Netflix’s miniseries The Valley of Eden, in third place with 1.16 billion minutes viewed. Compared to the previous debut week, the adaptation of John Steinbeck’s novel increased its numbers by 49%. Additionally, it marks the best performance in six weeks for Apple TV’s comedy Ted Lasso, seen concurrently with the finale of season 4 at 943 million minutes. Here are, below, the complete rankings.
