A Quiet Family Funeral: Video Interview with Diego Abatantuono, Claudia Pandolfi, and the Entire Cast

Relatives ready to confront a range of grievances. A classic of comedy, even when irony flies without self-censorship among misdeeds and that British-flavored humor that inspires A Quiet Family Funeral, a remake tinted with the colors of our comedy Death at a Funeral by Franz Ok, directed by Massimiliano Bruno, who co-wrote it with Edoardo Falcone, and set to hit theaters from October 29 by 01 Distribution, just after its presentation in recent hours as the closing film of the Rome Film Festival.

The story tells of a day, to say the least bizarre, in which unfolds the funeral of the Mancuso family patriarch; the two children, Daria (Claudia Pandolfi) and Riccardo (Pietro Sermonti) find themselves dealing with resentments long held and unconfessed secrets. What should be a solemn farewell ceremony soon turns into an unpredictable sequence of unexpected revelations and grotesque misunderstandings, destined to reveal all the fragilities and contradictions of a family far from perfect.

We interviewed at the Rome Film Festival the director, Massimiliano Bruno, together with the leads, Claudia Pandolfi and Pietro Sermonti; shortly thereafter you will find the video interview with the irresistible Diego Abatanuono, a master of jazz solos even in interviews, alongside Beatrice Arnera and Giulia Vecchio.
