A Traffic Jam Turns into the Stage for Comedy: Official Trailer and Release Date for Prime Video Series

Prime Video has announced that Ingorgo, its new Italian original series directed by the YouNuts!, the directing duo formed by writers Antonio Usbergo and Niccolò Celaia, will be available for streaming with all six episodes from October 2, 2026. The comedy, based on the Spanish format Atasco, is also showcased in the official trailer, alongside a cast that includes numerous beloved faces from television, cinema, and theatre.

Ingorgo: plot and cast of Prime Video’s Italian series

Written by Daniela Delle Foglie, who has previously worked behind the scenes on Prime Video’s other comedy Gigolò per caso, Ingorgo tells what happens when, as evening settles, a massive traffic jam upends the plans of thousands of motorists. A simple queue becomes an unpredictable stage for stories, encounters, and twists. Between surreal situations, unexpected revelations, and hilarious dynamics, the traffic becomes the convergence point for characters from vastly different backgrounds, forced to share a suspended space in time where tensions, secrets, and absurdities emerge with full force. What seems like a minor detour will soon prove to be much more, giving birth to a comedy capable of portraying, with irony and humanity, the chaos of our lives.

On screen, as part of the series’ cast, the lineup includes Dino Abbrescia, Lorenzo Adorni, Valentina Barbieri, Thomas Basilico, Ninni Bruschetta, Cecilia Cantarano, Selene Caramazza, Antonio Catania, Domenico Centamore, Francesco Centorame, Claudio Colica, Fabrizio Colica, Michela De Rossi, Pietro De Silva, Valerio Desirò, Ugo Dighero, Deborah Donadio, Mario Ermito, Gianni Fantoni, Donatella Finocchiaro, Corrado Fortuna, Stefano Fresi, Matilde Gioli, Corrado Guzzanti, Pia Lanciotti, Ludovica Martino, Marina Massironi, Alessandra Mastronardi, Maria Amelia Monti, Nicola Nocella, Lucia Ocone, Francesco Pannofino, Ilenia Pastorelli, Valentina Romani, Francesco Russo, Denise Tantucci, Gian Marco Tognazzi, Gabriele Vagnato, Luca Vecchi and Debora Villa.
