After There Is Still Tomorrow, Paola Cortellesi Returns to Direct a Film

In Peccato, the mockumentary series by Emanuela Fanelli that premiered in Venice and imagines a 63-year-old Fanelli recalling her career, it reveals, among other things, that in 2049 Paola Cortellesi, who has meanwhile become President of the Republic, talks about C’è ancora domani as if it were her less successful film.

So Cortellesi doesn’t need to be superstitious, as she has just returned to the set for her second directorial feature, because we all know the big question surrounding the project will be whether it can earn as much as that debut, which neared 37 million in Italy at the box office.

Be that as it may, the announcement that production had begun on Paola Cortellesi’s second film arrived on the Instagram channel of Our Films Productions, the production company behind it.

At the moment there are not many details about the film: the provisional title is Finché dura (Until It Lasts), Cortellesi is listed as a co-screenwriter along with Furio Andreotti and Giulia Calenda, and the theatrical release is planned for Christmas 2027.
