A winning team shouldn’t be altered. Two years after the success of A World Apart, the duo Antonio Albanese and Virginia Raffaele, once again directed by Riccardo Milani, return to our cinemas on December 25 in Salute!, a comedy that, with irony and humanity, portrays a small hospital in Molise that becomes the mirror of an entire country: fragile, contradictory, exasperating, but also generous, combative, and capable of not leaving anyone behind.
Written by Milani himself, together with Michele Astori and Cristiana Farina, the film also features in its rich cast Francesco Paolantoni, Biagio Izzo, Leo Gullotta, Marina Confalone, and Emilio Solfrizzi. While we await its release in our cinemas at Christmas, distributed by PiperFilm, here is a first taste of the film in this entertaining teaser trailer:
Salute!: The Official Synopsis of Riccardo Milani’s Comedy Starring Antonio Albanese and Virginia Raffaele
A cosmetic surgeon who spends more time on social media than in the wards.
A chief physician who goes to great lengths for her patients and never gives up.
An accident with a truck carrying bagpipes.
A region that perhaps does not exist where lies the craziest and most humane hospital in the world.
Saint Onofrio Martire is not just a polyclinic but a vividly colored microcosm populated by nurses who dance the Joropo, patients who pretend to be doctors, corridors where cutlets and cheese-and-egg balls are eaten.
Salute! tells, with irony and humanity, a small hospital in Molise that becomes the mirror of an entire country: fragile, contradictory, exasperating, but also generous, battle-ready, and capable of not leaving anyone behind.
