Since the 1995 release of Tarantula, horror cinema has been telling stories that are not for the faint of heart when spiders are involved. From that era to the more or less recent examples of Vermines, Eight Legged Freaks (featuring a very young Scarlett Johansson), and, of course, Arachnophobia, the arachnid threat has remained a recurring theme. Now it is the turn of Crawlers, an American film that will debut in theaters in its home country on October 16, and below we present its official trailer. Crawlers tells a tale quite similar to that of Vermines, placing the inhabitants of a building at the center of the story who end up isolated in quarantine after one of them returns from a trip bearing a deadly menace: a new species of venomous spiders that endanger everyone. Directed by the Spanish filmmaker Ángel Gómez Hernández and written by Jayson Rothwell, the film stars Matilda Lutz, the actress known for Revenge, A Classic Horror Story and Red Sonja, alongside Gregg Sulkin, Chris Rogers and Melina Matthews.
