Ben Affleck Amid Elections and Kidnappings: Trailer for Netflix-Bound Film “Animals”

His brother Casey has just unveiled his (underrated) Company in competition at Venice, while on Netflix, from October 9, we will see the new directorial feature from Ben Affleck: it is titled Animals and below you can watch the official Italian trailer.
In Ben’s sixth directing effort, which also sees him in front of the camera as well as the screenwriter alongside Connor O. McIntyre and Billy Ray, Animals tells the story of Mark Kimball, a candidate to become mayor of Los Angeles who one day receives a fatal phone call announcing the kidnapping of his son. Faced with the news, already devastating in itself, he and his wife Abigail (played by Kerry Washington) will have to figure out how to react and behave, confronting choices that risk destroying their meticulously planned and built life.
In the film’s cast, produced by Netflix in collaboration with Artists Equity, the studio founded by Ben Affleck and Matt Damon, there are also Gillian Anderson (recently an outstanding lead of Camp Miasma), Steven Yeun (who was also in the cast of The Rip alongside Affleck and Damon), Luis Gerardo Méndez and Adriana Paz.
