Chicago Fire, Med, and P.D.: What to Expect in the New Seasons
The trailer depicts a massive blaze that puts firefighters from Station 51 at risk, a car crash into the hospital, and several adrenaline-fueled moments featuring the Intelligence Unit. Yet none of these scenes clarifies the fates of the characters entangled in last season’s cliffhangers, nor does it reveal what awaits those the showrunners have already signaled might take a step back—perhaps not by their own two feet.
The last ride of Chicago Fire left us with nearly the entire crew trapped inside a burning building. It remains unclear whether everyone will make it out alive, though we know that Dermot Mulroney (who plays Dom Pascal) and Joe Miñoso (Joe Cruz) will depart the series in the opening episodes of season 15. In Chicago Med, S. Epatha Merkerson as Sharon Goodwin will have to fight to keep her position after being accused of leaking confidential staff information. We will also need to determine the future of Dr. Hannah Asher (Jessy Schram) and Dr. Dean Archer (Steven Weber). After the birth of Mabel, their daughter, he had finally told Hannah that he loved her, but she did not respond in kind, merely sharing a kiss. And then Chicago P.D., in which Arienne Mandi as Eva Imani will have to figure out how Sergeant Hank Voight (Jason Beghe) will handle the situation involving his sister, who has been implicated in murder, while the team also contends with the departure—somehow—of Agent Kevin Atwater (LaRoyce Hawkins).
The new seasons of Chicago Fire, Chicago Med, and Chicago P.D. are set to premiere in the United States on October 7. In Italy, the date is scheduled for December, with previews on Sky and streaming on NOW.
