Christian Bale Builds Together California: A Foster Village Where Siblings Grow Up Together

Christian Bale is not only a superb actor but also a man with a very big heart, and even though he has hung up the Batman costume, he continues, if not to save lives, at least to help those in need, as Variety notes. The reputable publication informs us that the actor had a residential complex built, called Together California, for foster children. On an area of about 11,000 square meters, 12 houses have been erected. They are all furnished and the property features meadows and trees. Together California is located in Palmdale and was inaugurated last Friday. The interesting thing is that the facility hosts and keeps brothers and sisters together, who are normally separated. In fact, at the heart of the project lies the desire to spare foster children this additional emotional trauma. Each dwelling is specifically designed to accommodate up to six siblings simultaneously, followed by foster parents and professionals in the field. Interviewed by ABC 7, Bale declared: “It is our duty to transform their distress and their pain into love, hope, and a sense of future.”

Christian Bale has two children, Luka and Rex, with his wife Sibi Blazic. The actor has explained that his experience as a father led him to question what it means for a child not to have parents. The Together California venture began in 2022, and it became possible to build the village thanks to substantial donations. The houses will be ready for occupancy starting next month.

During the ABC 7 interview, Christian Bale also stated that society has a duty to look after the youngest. There is no need to have lived through a similar experience to support a project like Together California, but one only needs a big heart. The actor would never have been able to complete this admirable undertaking without the help of Tim McCormick, who in the past has worked with foster children on several occasions.
