Cinecomic Goes Horror: Final Clayface Trailer Debuts

A character born on the pages of comic books back in January 1940, and over the years the protagonist of various incarnations, Clayface is now at the center of his own film, which is likely to go down in history as the first explicitly horror-oriented superhero movie.
Directed by the English filmmaker James Watkins — someone who has known horror long before — Clayface will debut in Italian cinemas on October 22, and below you can watch its final trailer. The story it tells is that of Matt Hagen, who, as a Gotham street kid, becomes a famous Hollywood star, but whose unstoppable rise is tragically halted when the actions of a local crime boss leave him horribly disfigured. Abandoned by his entourage and with nothing left to lose, Matt undergoes an avant-garde treatment that, miraculously, restores his appearance… but ends up compromising his perception of reality, dragging him into a spiral of ever more destructive vengeance.
Tom Rhys Harries plays the lead role, and by his side are Naomi Ackie, David Dencik, Max Minghella and Eddie Marsan, along with Nancy Carroll and Joshua James. James Watkins directs from a screenplay by Mike Flanagan and Hossein Amini, which in turn originated from a concept by Flanagan.
Clayface is the third film in the DC Universe.
