Paolo Strippoli and the Cast of L’Estranea at the Coming Soon Space
Among the events that have enlivened Villa Il Nidiolo in these days is the one dedicated to L’Estranea, the new film by Paolo Strippoli, presented in competition at the 83rd Venice Film Festival.
The film, due to hit Italian cinemas on October 8 through 01 Distribution, is a psychological thriller centered on a family and a secret that has remained hidden for twenty years. Jasmine Trinca plays Anna, a woman who unexpectedly appears at her daughter Alice’s home, portrayed by Romana Maggiora Vergano, to reveal a truth that could forever alter the course of their family. Years earlier, after a serious accident involving the child, Anna had struck a pact with a mysterious stranger, portrayed by Valeria Bruni Tedeschi. An apparently salvific agreement that, however, gives rise to a chain of dark and painful events. Also featuring Adriano Giannini.
In Venice, Paolo Strippoli met with the press together with some of the film’s stars. Mauro Donzelli conducted video interviews with the director along with Adriano Giannini, as well as with Jasmine Trinca and Romana Maggiora Vergano, exploring the film’s genesis, its genre elements and the complex relationships between the characters.
Nanni Moretti and His Actors, the Cast of Serpenti
Among the Italian titles at the heart of the 83rd Venice Film Festival is also Succederà questa notte, Nanni Moretti’s new film, presented in competition for the Golden Lion. Nearly forty years after Palombella rossa, Moretti returns to the festival’s official selection with a story that centers on feelings, desire and human relationships. The leads are Louis Garrel and Jasmine Trinca, joined by Hippolyte Girardot, and Moretti himself. In Venice, Moretti met with the press alongside Jasmine Trinca and Louis Garrel, discussing the film and the journey that led him to adapt Nevo’s stories for the cinema.
Villa Il Nidiolo also hosts Serpenti, Roberto De Paolis Maino’s new film presented in the Venezia Spotlight section. The cast includes Leonardo Lidi, Alessandro Borghi, Pietro Castellitto and Valeria Golino.
Coming Soon Service, a Meeting Point for Cinema at the Lido
As has been the case for several years now, Coming Soon Service confirms its presence at the Venice Film Festival by offering the facilities of Villa Il Nidiolo to productions, distributors, press offices, talent and audiovisual professionals.
Junket, interviews, roundtables, press conferences and photocalls alternate across the Festival days, while the villa’s spaces are arranged to ensure moments of relaxation, networking and more informal encounters. The facility also provides professional audio and video equipment, dressing rooms, makeup rooms, Wi-Fi, lounges and a refreshment point, with catering options for events.
With the Festival now entering its final phase, Villa Il Nidiolo remains one of the reference hubs for press, artists and cinema industry professionals, once again confirming Coming Soon’s bond with the world of cinema and its support for the productions and distributions present at the Lido.
