An International Success for Crew Girl
Just days after its debut, Crew Girl has already captivated audiences around the world. The young adult series has entered Netflix’s Top 10 in a remarkable 80 countries, surpassing 5.2 million views. The first season, consisting of eight episodes, landed on the platform on September 10, 2026 and has sustained a presence in Netflix’s chart for English-language series. This strong performance contributed to the decision to renew the title for a second season.
At the center of the story is Teagan Tao, portrayed by Miku Martineau, a budding rowing star whose life is upended by the financial scandal involving her father. After relocating with her mother to her mother’s hometown in Massachusetts, Teagan discovers that her new school, Easton Prep, does not boast a women’s rowing team. The girl ends up bailing out and steering the men’s team as the coxswain, despite never having filled that role before. Between competitions, rivalries, secrets, and evolving feelings, the world of rowing becomes the dynamic backdrop for a coming-of-age tale that is anything but quiet.

The first season blended sport with teen drama, following Teagan as she grapples with a new school and two very different romantic interests: Josh Regis, the quintessential Easton Prep jock, and Cam Dillinger, more reserved but equally determined. The finale unearthed a number of secrets, and even Teagan’s father’s story reaches a turning point: the man finally confesses and is handed over to the FBI. On the field, Easton Prep earned a silver medal at the Haverford Cup. For Josh, though, the competition could mark his last race: he reveals to his family that he has a heart condition. And then there is Teagan’s heart. Despite the clear feelings for Josh, Cam receives her final kiss of the season, making the love triangle even more complicated.
The Season 2 Plot: Will the Triangle Become a Square?
Just when Teagan seems to have more than enough troubles to manage, another twist arrives. Britney, played by Sage Linder, introduces a new women’s rowing team.
