David Harbour and Millie Bobby Brown have already had the chance to portray father and daughter in Stranger Things, but soon they will be able to replicate the experience, albeit far from the Hawkins dynamics. After the success on Netflix, both actors have boosted their careers by taking on numerous projects and have been chosen to play father and daughter in a new TV Series. The Hopper actor himself shared more about this new venture.
David Harbour hints how the new TV series with Millie Bobby Brown will be different from Stranger Things
Jack Thorne, co-creator of Adolescence, is at work on a new TV series that will bring two Stranger Things stars into the cast: on one side David Harbour and on the other Millie Bobby Brown, once again together and set to interact as a family. Just as it happened in Stranger Things, where Hopper adopted Eleven, the new series will likewise see them bound as a family.
Harbour, who appeared on the red carpet at the Emmy Awards 2026, spoke to Variety about the upcoming project in development: “The father-daughter dynamic is something I believe we perform very well and care about deeply. Now [Millie] is twenty years old, and I think with Stranger Things we explored many teenage themes; now we want to explore, for example, what it means to be a father to someone who is 20 and facing all kinds of difficulties, what family means. But essentially it has an incredibly high-octane engine, rich in action and entertainment, the screenplay is written by Jack Thorne, a true master. I am really excited to start working with him.”
Also involved as executive producers, David Harbour and Millie Bobby Brown play father and daughter. Harbour is Matt Wolfe, an FBI agent who has fallen from grace and is forced to return to duty when his twenty-year-old daughter, Rebecca, who has followed in his footsteps, goes missing during a mission. Also Millie Bobby Brown’s husband, Jake Bongiovi, is listed as an executive producer. To date the series has not yet announced an official title, but it has been described as an espionage thriller coming soon to Netflix.
