The news comes from the singer’s own social networks, where her family chose to share the loss. It was her nephew, Bryan Seaver, who appears in the video they posted to announce it. In it, he shares that the video was requested by Dolly herself years ago for when the worst happened, and confirms that the star died in a hospital in Nashville, Tennessee, in the United States.

In the video, Seaver tells us the weight of his aunt’s legacy on the entire music industry and Hollywood. “Dolly opened the doors to generations of singers, songwriters, musicians and dreamers from all walks of life and from all continents. Thanks to her example, we believed that anything was possible. She never saw a door she couldn’t open, and the doors she opened made and changed history,” he proudly and sadly recounts.
Dolly Parton has left behind fantastic songs that have influenced thousands of authors. As an actress she has made dozens, perhaps hundreds, of cameos in movies and series of all kinds. One of the works most remembered by younger audiences is her work in ‘Hannah Montana’, where she appeared in several episodes as Aunt Dolly, a close relative of the singer and a major influence for her character.
A Long Legacy
Parton’s career has yielded many memorable moments and awards that will be preserved forever. Last year she received a commemorative Oscar for a career spanning more than fifty years. She earned it after two nominations for Best Original Song for ‘How to Kill Your Boss’ of 1981 and for ‘Transamerica’ of 2005.
For the future, she leaves behind the film ‘Run, Rose, Run,’ which marks her final appearance in the world of cinema after her death, a feature she personally produced in which she portrays herself.
