Arrives in cinemas on October 16 If You Love Someone, Tell Them, a new film led by Edoardo Leo and adapted from a novel of the same name based on a true story.
In the movie, Leo plays Sergio, an emotionally unavailable man, incorrigible womanizer and absent father who, after a heart attack sends him into a coma for a while, wakes up with his brain completely reset and must relearn how to do everything from scratch: he will be cared for by his son Marco, barely 18, who will have to somehow act as father… to his father.
Directing the film is Marco Bonini, the author of the book published by Longanesi, who has assembled a cast around Leo that includes Claudia Gerini, Giovanna Mezzogiorno, Thomas Trabacchi, Biagio Venditti, Clemente Pernarella, Daniela Virgilio, Luisa De Santis, Pietro De Silvia and Antonia Di Francesco.

Caught red-handed during a betrayal, Sergio (Edoardo Leo) suffers a collapse and ends up in a coma. In the waiting room three people gather who would have good reasons not to want to see him anymore: his partner Gabriella (Claudia Gerini), his ex-wife Alba (Giovanna Mezzogiorno) and his son Giulio (Biagio Venditti). When Sergio awakens, it is as if a child inhabits an adult body: he must relearn everything from scratch. From a domineering and emotionally detached man, he becomes a goofy, tragicomic hero who keeps insisting that he has been reborn, that he is finally capable of loving. It is this second, improbable childhood that ends up teaching him something that had always eluded him before: how to care for his complicated extended family.
