Fallout 3: Kyle MacLachlan Teases Prime Video Release

Kyle MacLachlan has finally offered a more concrete answer to fans who have long wondered about the production status of the third season of Fallout: where does it stand? Involved since the first season as the actor portraying Hank MacLean, Lucy and Norm’s father, Kyle MacLachlan has had a lot on his plate also during the second season, but when will a third arrive?

Fallout 3, Kyle MacLachlan reveals where filming stands and when the new season could debut

The filming of the third season of Fallout began during 2026, but to date the production has not announced a precise release date. Kyle MacLachlan provided more details on the matter. The TV series, adapted from the eponymous video game saga, has introduced another dystopian world on the small screen set in a post-apocalyptic backdrop where the fortunate have spent years underground, sheltered in bunkers, while the less fortunate have had to cope with the consequences of radiation.

Kyle MacLachlan was introduced as Lucy’s father in the first season, but he was kidnapped and taken to the surface almost immediately, and the girl wasted no time, following his trail above ground to discover a world she hadn’t known existed. And, even after meeting the Ghoul, Lucy soon realizes that her father has lied about many things, some more serious than others, and that she will have to answer to justice. The second season revolves mainly around Lucy’s journey in pursuit of Hank and her eventual arrival in New Vegas to confront the consequences of her decisions.

The third season is currently in production, and Kyle MacLachlan, a guest at a Barnes & Noble event as reported by Screen Rant, offered a small tease about the timelines. “We’re still filming. We have about a month of shooting left and then it will probably come out in May or June, who knows.” Walton Goggins had already hinted to fans that filming had begun this summer, sharing images and videos from the set in his role as the Ghoul. Filming is expected to wrap in November, so the estimate from Kyle MacLachlan isn’t that far-fetched. Given the success achieved by Fallout, Prime Video won’t delay the release of episodes for too long, but in any case we’ll have to wait for official confirmation of a more concrete date. In addition to Kyle MacLachlan and Walton Goggins, the third season will also bring back Ella Purnell as Lucy, Aaron Moten as Maximus, and will introduce new cast members such as Aaron Paul, Manny Jacinto, Emily Mortimer, and Thomasin McKenzie.
