Frankie and the Forgotten Creatures: How a Cute Monster Is Born — Exclusive Scene

Frankie and the Forgotten Creatures by Steve Hudson is a witty CGI-animated film that adapts the TestaCucita novels written by Guy Bass, a way of reinterpreting horror and gothic situations in a fairy-tale, playful tone, and tailored for younger audiences. The Italian release, in time for Halloween, is from Vertice360, and we can present you exclusively a funny scene in Italian from the cartoon: the little protagonist explains to a newborn monster the absurd rules of the castle where he and the other creatures must coexist!

Frankie and the Forgotten Creatures, what the animated film with irresistible monsters is about

The protagonist of Frankie and the Forgotten Creatures is a kind-hearted boy who is quite monstrous (just the right amount!), one of the many creatures born from the experiments of a mad scientist at Castle Grotteschio. If the scientist soon forgets the monsters he creates, Frankie tends to them with affection and care, ensuring that no one feels left out and that everyone gets along. But he longs for something different in life, and when the cynical circus impresario Fulbert Freakfinder spots him and offers to make him an attraction, promising him the ‘love’ that the audience should reserve for him, Frankie falls for it. It will be up to his monster friends to save him from the cruel world of show business, but the cause will also be aided by the affection of a girl, who immediately manages to see the deep humanity in Frankie.

The English actor Steve Hudson, now based abroad, personally adapted Guy Bass’s tales for TestaCucita, marking his debut in animation with this feature-length film, which also screened at the Giffoni Festival. The production is the result of collaboration among several entities around the world, including LavaLabs, Pixomondo and Traumhaus Studios.
