George Michael was one of the most influential stars of his generation; his voice and his talent as a songwriter defined an era. Reconstructed from recovered 35mm reels, featuring unseen footage and audio never heard before, shot during his 1988 performance at the Palais Omnisports de Paris-Bercy, this new concert film presents George Michael at the peak of his creativity, during the historic and record-breaking Faith Tour. Carefully restored and remastered, the film turns an iconic moment in musical culture into a spectacular cinematic experience. To open the film, an original Mary McCartney short film will be featured, created using audio and footage recently rediscovered dating from the 1986–1988 period, the Faith era. A rare and intimate “time capsule” that offers a vivid and authentic glimpse into George’s mind at a pivotal moment in his life.
George Michael: The Faith Tour, the concert film by David Austin and Andy Morahan, will arrive in theaters on November 6 with Universal Pictures, and this is the official trailer:
