When Ginny & Georgia returns to Netflix with the fourth season, it will usher in a new era for the mother at the helm. Fresh off a turbulent third season that saw her leave prison and come home with a development for her family, Georgia will face the upcoming episodes with a different spirit. The first preview came from Netflix itself: in addition to providing initial plot details, the streaming giant also revealed the release window for the fourth season. The Miller family is set to return, but this time they will have to contend with the young Austin, revealed as a key element of the third season. Thanks to his lies, Georgia was exonerated and returned home, but the price paid by the boy proved to be steep: Austin had to choose one of his parents, freeing one and imprisoning the other. For this reason, as described in the synopsis shared by Netflix, the fourth season will feature “Austin standing alone against the world.”
Meanwhile Georgia Miller, portrayed once again by Brianne Howey, has returned to normal life but with several challenges: besides being broke again, Georgia is also pregnant with her third child; unfortunately she does not know the identity of the father. Ginny wants to break that chaos-marked cycle and Georgia wants to show her that it is possible to start over, but the past does not seem to agree.
In addition to sharing valuable plot details, Netflix clarified that the fourth season of Ginny & Georgia will arrive on the platform sometime in 2027, although no precise date has yet been announced. In 2023, Netflix renewed the series in advance for a third and a fourth season. While the third was released in 2025, the fourth wrapped filming in March 2026.
Ginny & Georgia 3, Where Did We Leave Off? A Brief Recap
Arrested during her own wedding, Georgia ends up in prison accused of the murder of Tom Fuller, Cynthia’s husband. The first part of the third season deals with the legal and media impact of that arrest. Ginny learns from her brother Austin that her mother is actually responsible for the incident, but she fights against everyone to bring her home by devising a plan: summoned to testify, her brother Austin lies by blaming his father Gil for Tom’s death, and, thanks to that lie, Georgia can return home.
Austin’s actions will surely have consequences and will influence his relationship with mother and sister, who in the meantime have agreed to go to therapy and not repeat the same mistake in the future.
Meanwhile Georgia is forced to face the weight of her actions. If during the third season she faked a pregnancy to stay close to Paul, at the end of the season she discovers that she is actually expecting. But who is the father?
