Glen Powell Hates Talking Politics: Politics Divides People, the Worst Thing to Discuss

Glen Powell and politics don’t exactly get along, or rather the actor is not very interested in politics and especially dislikes turning it into a topic of conversation. Perhaps, within the four walls of his home or with his closest friends, the star of Twisters might share his view on the Trump administration, but what he is determined to avoid at all costs is expressing his opinions on the matter in front of a crowd or a journalist. His views remain top secret, and this silence astonishes those who know that his mother worked in the Reagan administration at the United States Treasury Department.

As time goes by, I’ve realized that politics divides people. People try to prove that their opinion is the right one, but for me it is the worst thing you can discuss. I hate when it’s talked about. Today more than ever it leads to nothing. At the moment, starting a political conversation is impossible. I admire people who dive into these battles and fight for what they believe in. If I were a person interested in politics, I would probably talk about it, but my true calling lies elsewhere.
