Just over two months since its arrival in our cinemas, the official Italian trailer of Godzilla Minus Zero has been unveiled, the eagerly anticipated new chapter of the saga written and directed by Takashi Yamazaki, already the director of Godzilla Minus One and The Eternal Zero. With stars Ryunosuke Kamiki and Minami Hamabe, the film will arrive in Italian cinemas (also in IMAX®) from November 12, distributed by Plaion Pictures as part of the strategic partnership with TOHO Global.
The story is set in 1949, two years after the previous attack of Godzilla. When humanity seems to have regained a fragile stability, the return of the king of monsters threatens to erase all hope. The former pilot Kōichi and his wife Noriko thus find themselves at the center of a new struggle for survival, forced to confront an even more powerful and terrifying Godzilla.
The film marks Yamazaki’s return to directing after winning the Oscar® for Best Visual Effects in 2024 with Godzilla Minus One. Over seventy years since his birth, the famous kaijū continues to stand as one of the most recognizable icons of global pop culture, maintaining its ability to tell of fears, fragility and humanity’s resilience.
