Halloween has arrived, and Lucca Comics & Games 2026 is gearing up to celebrate it with a day and an evening dedicated to horror, mystery, and spine-tingling atmospheres. 7 Halloween-themed things to do at Lucca Comics & Games 2026

The Backrooms Immersive Experience

Among the most atmospheric Halloween experiences is the one offered by I Wonder Pictures, which brings Lucca into the universe of the Backrooms. An immersion into the unsettling liminal spaces that became a viral online phenomenon, featuring seemingly endless corridors, empty environments, and neon lights, where a sense of familiarity gradually gives way to dread.

Horror Nights with Godzilla Minus Zero

The grandeur of horror cinema and genre cinema takes center stage at Cinema Astra with the Horror Nights. The event begins at 6:30 PM with the national premiere of Godzilla Minus Zero, the new film directed by Takashi Yamazaki, returning to the King of the Monsters universe after the international success of Godzilla Minus One.

Popeye’s Revenge: Popeye Turns into a Nightmare

At 7 PM, at Cinema Centrale, Popeye’s Revenge by William Stead will be screened, a horror reinterpretation of the iconic Popeye character. Forget the sailor from the cartoons: this time the character becomes a decidedly more unsettling presence, the protagonist of a story crafted for fans of the genre. One of the most distinctive offerings of the Halloween lineup.

The Nameless Ballad, Federico Zampaglione’s Horror Premiere

The evening continues at 9 PM at Cinema Astra with The Nameless Ballad, the new film by Federico Zampaglione, presented in a premiere with the participation of the director, screenwriter Barbara Baraldi, and actress Giglia Marra.

The Dylan Dog Nightmare Parade

For those who prefer to experience Halloween on the streets of Lucca, the unmissable Dylan Dog Nightmare Parade organized to celebrate 40 years of Dylan Dog. At 3 PM, from the Giardino degli Osservanti, a grand parade themed around monsters and zombies will depart, organized by Sergio Bonelli Editore in collaboration with Lucca Comics & Games. The procession will reach the Bonelli stand in Piazza Antelminelli for a special photo opportunity.

The Hazbin Hotel Universe Comes to Life

Halloween in Lucca also means demons, infernal creatures, and cosplay. At 12 PM, in Piazza San Michele, the Hazbin Hotel Italian Cosplay parade took place, headed toward the Giardino degli Osservanti, featuring photos, activities, videos, and the awarding of the contest dedicated to the Hellaverse world. The celebration continues in the afternoon on the Garden stage with a themed show for all fans of the animated series.

Halloween Dance Party and Music Until Late

For those who want to keep the party going after the film events, at 6:40 PM the Giardino degli Osservanti will host the Halloween Dance Party. An evening of music, dancing, and themed atmospheres, perfect to close the day in full festival spirit. And for those not yet ready to head home, from 10:30 PM the Foro Boario will host the Blaster party, featuring metal, punk, rock, and electronic music.
