In the trio with Daniel Radcliffe alias Harry Potter and Emma Watson alias Hermione, Rupert Grint’s Ron Weasley has always been a bit like the Ringo Starr of the group: present and essential, but not the center of attention. Yet Grint has kept working steadily in recent years, never the leading star in big films, but a prominent character actor in projects such as Shyamalan’s Servant series or in the upcoming Scrooge and the Spirits of Christmas with Johnny Depp, where he will portray the beleaguered Bob Cratchit. Now, however, he takes a small moral victory over his two colleagues: he will be the first of them to return to the world of Harry Potter… but this time on the stage.
