Have You Noticed Sylvester Stallone’s Cane in Tulsa King Season 4? Here’s Why

Sylvester Stallone is the beating heart of Tulsa King, a TV series streamed on Paramount+ and now back with a fourth season written by Taylor Sheridan that has brought back the ambitious Dwight Manfredi into action. A detail revealed in the third episode quickly sparked fan speculation: why does Dwight use a walking cane to move? In truth, this choice hides another truth that concerns Sylvester Stallone closely.

Tulsa King Season 4, Why Does Dwight Manfredi Use a Walking Cane? The Reasons

If you too have wondered why Dwight Manfredi has used a walking cane in the fourth season of Tulsa King, Sylvester Stallone might have the answer that suits you. The new cycle of episodes has raised the stakes even higher for Dwight Manfredi, who since the first episode of the fourth season has had to process the touching loss of his partner Margaret. In the third episode, a walking cane appeared that triggered concern among his friends and henchmen, but there would actually be another reason behind this choice.

One of the main reasons, if not perhaps the only one, is that the cane is not just a prop, but a valuable aid for Sylvester Stallone after undergoing a back surgery. The actor’s representative, as reported by Screen Rant, said that Stallone began using a walking cane toward the end of 2025 following the operation.

As a movie star, Stallone has recounted that he personally performed most of his stunts in his most celebrated films such as Rambo and Rocky, and this has led to fractures and contusions. During an episode of The Family Stallone, a reality show about his family, the actor spoke of a shoulder and neck injury during the filming of The Expendables in 2010 from which he never fully recovered, and for this he underwent several spine surgeries that ultimately required the use of the cane.

Given that Stallone will probably need the cane in real life to walk, it was necessary to introduce the walking stick into Tulsa King as well, but the reasons Dwight offers are varied and inconsistent: for example, he tells Mitch that he was stabbed in the back in prison and that the old wound has started to pull. To Spencer he says he fell in the shower, while to Musso he says his leg acts up. This means Dwight might be lying about the reason for using the cane, but it might be simpler than expected: he may not want to admit that he is aging because he does not want to appear weak in the eyes of others.
