Over the weekend the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art finally opened in Los Angeles, the museum of narrative art (therefore not only cinema) strongly championed by George Lucas. together with Mellody Hobson. It was a truly special day where directors, artists, sports champions, writers, musicians and Lucas’s friends gathered not only from Hollywood to take part in this great celebration. And the event was captured in numerous photos and videos that you can partly view below. In the group photo published by Edgar Wright, who was among the most excited and happy guests of the day, you can see in order, from left to right: Robert De Niro (!), Tyler Perry, Matthew Robbins, Caleb Deschanel, Frank Miller, Nathan Fielder, Steven Spielberg, D. B. Weiss, Bryce Dallas Howard, Spike Lee, Ron Howard, Jon Favreau, George Lucas, Christopher Nolan, Francis Ford Coppola, David Benioff, Lee Daniels, Peter Jackson, Guillermo del Toro, Wright himself, the French artist JR, Frank Marshall, Denis Villeneuve, John Landis, and Jon M. Chu. But, Wright adds with his star-struck awe, not even this photo truly captures everyone who was there and he proceeds to list: Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, Samuel L. The evening culminated with a drone show dedicated to Star Wars.
