Immortal Love, Dance, and the Paris Opera: Interview with Deva Cassel

A tribute to dance and lyricism, a romantic story that has become a classic of Gothic literature. The The Phantom of the Opera by Gaston Leroux is told in a contemporary frame with an eye toward younger audiences in Immortal Love by Alexandre Castagnetti, premiered worldwide at the Rome Film Festival. An opportunity for a first-rate leading role for a child of artists such as Deva Cassel, daughter of Monica Bellucci and Vincent Cassel.

We are in Paris, where the young dancer Anastasia (Deva Cassel) fulfills her big dream by joining the prestigious Opéra Garnier. Chosen to interpret a ballet drawn from Orpheus, a legendary and cursed composition attributed to the mysterious Phantom of the Opera, during rehearsals she becomes involved with an enigmatic pianist, with whom she falls in love. It is only the beginning of an interplay of incidents and revelations that accompanies the preparation of the show and the night of the debut. Filmed for the first time (also) at the Opéra Garnier in Paris, Immortal Love will arrive in theaters soon through 01 Distribution.

We interviewed Deva Cassel in this video interview.
