Jacob Tremblay Has Grown Up and Now Plants Bombs in the Unabomber Trailer, Netflix’s Upcoming Film

It has been more than ten years since Jacob Tremblay, then only 8 years old, first drew attention with his portrayal of little Jack Newsome in the film Room alongside Brie Larson, earning a Critics’ Choice Award for Best Young Performer and a nomination for the Screen Actors Guild Award as Outstanding Supporting Actor.
In these ten years his career has moved forward at a brisk pace. We’ve seen him grow in films such as Colin Trevorrow’s The Book of Henry, Wonder alongside Owen Wilson and Julia Roberts, Shane Black’s The Predator, Xavier Dolan’s My Life with John F. Donovan, Mike Flanagan’s Doctor Sleep, and the more recent Toxic Avenger and The Life of Chuck in the role of a young Tom Hiddleston.
Today Jacob is 19 and soon we will see him in a role unusual for him. Tremblay indeed portrays the infamous terrorist Ted Kaczynski, better known as the Unabomber, in the eponymous Netflix film that also stars Russell Crowe, Annabelle Wallis and Shailene Woodley.

Here’s the official trailer for Unabomber, available to stream on Netflix from September 25:

Unabomber: the plot of the Netflix film with Jacob Tremblay

Inspired by real events, UNABOMBER chronicles the transformation of Ted Kaczynski (Jacob Tremblay), from a brilliant Harvard student to the infamous Unabomber. Exposed in the 1950s to the controversial psychological experiments of Professor Henry Murray (Russell Crowe), Kaczynski carries with him a tormented past that resurfaces decades later, when the manhunt led by FBI agent Joanne Miller (Shailene Woodley) brings to light the unsettling consequences of ambition and isolation.
Alternating between Kaczynski’s troubled past and the FBI investigation that tightens around him, UNABOMBER tells the chilling story of the man, the mind behind it, and the long chase that will lead to his capture.
