Jason Dohring Bids Farewell to Hollywood: What the Veronica Mars Star Is Doing Now

We all remember him as the handsome, wealthy, and tormented Logan Echolls from Veronica Mars, one of the cult TV series of the early 2000s. But after the huge success, in recent years, the actor Jason Dohring decided to step away – at least for the moment – from Hollywood’s glare and dedicate himself to a completely different kind of activity.

Jason Dohring Says Goodbye to Hollywood: Here’s What He’s Doing Today

In an interview given to Don’t Do Nothing, Jason Dohring talked about how his life has changed in recent years and how, at a certain point, he chose to devote himself to another activity, reinventing himself and discovering a new line of work. His last appearances on screen date back to 2021-22 in the series SEAL Team and All Rise, and since then the actor has decided to pull back – at least for the moment – from Hollywood’s spotlight to devote himself to farm work and organic farming.

Dohring explained that he discovered these new passions during the pandemic when he began tending to a garden, and that he spent the last years running farms: “I started gardening almost by accident, and I thought: ‘Wow, this is amazing. I didn’t even notice COVID for months, because I was out in my garden tending to the gardening. It wasn’t a big deal. I got into it. I’m on my third farm. The flavor of food can be truly extraordinary. And you can also create a real art, through the way farms are built and other similar things.”

Nevertheless, the actor does not rule out a return to the set in the future: “I told my agents, ‘I’m going to work on a farm for a while’“, he said. “They answered me: ‘We’ll keep sending you material.’ I said: ‘Okay, sure.’ I will probably come back sooner or later. A while ago they called me to participate in a small short film by someone, and I did it as a favor. I love art. And when I’m immersed in art, even just talking about it, I get excited. I already think: ‘Oh wow, I want to go back to it. Really, honestly, I just want to help people, in any way, whether it’s farming, gardening, education, art… I really like it a lot“.
