We will have the pleasure of seeing Nicole Kidman on September 10 in Love & Spells 2, the sequel to the 1988 film in which the Australian actress shared not only the screen but also the surname of the character with Sandra Bullock. The two stars were indeed the Owens sisters, apprentice witches bound by a curse that every man they date is destined to die. In the new film there will be both of them, and consequently both joined the promotional tour for the film, and during the tour, thanks to a reporter related to the lovely Nicole, Cinemablend discovered that the women of the Kidman family are all a bit witchy.
You should know that Lucia Hawley, who is the daughter of Nicole‘s sister Antonia, interviewed her aunt and Bullock, telling the latter:

The grandmother born on Friday the 13th is Nicole Kidman’s mother, who died in 2024 at the age of 84. Not only did she celebrate her birthday on a day long considered unlucky, but from time to time she indulged in spells, which she promptly taught to her offspring. When asked, by Aunt Nicole, what her favorite spell was, the actress said:

This statement piqued Sandra Bullock, who was seated next to the colleague during the interview. So she asked what happens to people whose name ends up in the freezer and was told: “They thaw out.” To these words the Nicole Kidman’s niece added:

SinemaBlend informs us that this spell is quite well known and is handed down from generation to generation. Moreover, it takes little to perform. You take a pen (or a pencil) and write the name of the person from whom you would want more attention on a slip of paper, then place the slip in a container filled with water. It is used to negate the negative energy that a person emanates and to put an end to their wrong and unpleasant behaviors.
At the end of the interview, Sandra Bullock asked Nicole Kidman if she had ever ended up in her freezer. The answer was a reassuring no, followed by the clarification that those who end up in the freezer can also get out of it.
Love & Spells 2 is directed by Susanne Bier (and no longer by Griffin Dunne) and also features Stockard Channing, Dianne Wiest, Joey King, Maisie Williams and Lee Pace. Fans of the first film were the ones who convinced Warner Bros. to take on the sequel, in which the Owens sisters leave Massachusetts to travel to London and thwart a new curse. It was Kylie, who is Sally‘s daughter and possesses very unsettling powers, who triggered it.
