After the world premiere at the forthcoming New York Film Festival and the European premiere at the BFI London Film Festival, Artificial, Luca Guadagnino’s highly anticipated new film, will soon be released in Italian cinemas thanks to I Wonder Pictures, which announced today the acquisition of the Italian distribution rights for the film. Last July NEON acquired the film’s worldwide rights, with the aim of distributing it in U.S. theaters and campaigning it for awards.

Centered on the behind-the-scenes and power struggles in Silicon Valley, Artificial recounts the famous corporate crisis and the tumultuous firing and subsequent rehiring of Sam Altman as OpenAI’s CEO.
The film’s stars are the two-time Oscar nominee Andrew Garfield, the Oscar-nominated Monica Barbaro, the Oscar-nominated Jurij Borisov (Anora), Ike Barinholtz, Cooper Koch, Chris O’Dowd, Jason Schwartzman, Oscar winner Mark Rylance, Cooper Hoffman, and Billie Lourd, among others.
Written by Simon Rich, the film is produced by Frenesy, Luca Guadagnino’s production company. Producers of the film Jeffrey Clifford, Jennifer Fox, Luca Guadagnino, David Heyman, Simon Rich.
