Directed by Paolo Bonfadini, Luciano, Prima di Tutto was created to mark La prima notte, the concert-event that last May 6 opened the Milano Santa Giulia Arena. In the film the rocker from Correggio opens up to Vera Spadini, talking about his career, then about his early concerts, the thrill of stepping onto a stage, his European and world tours, the joy of performing beside his son Lenny, Campovolo, the first guitar his father gave him, and the themes that matter to him in his songs. The documentary also brims with anecdotes and curiosities. Accompanying the closing credits is “Qualcosa per te” (Warner Music Italy). It is the new single by Liga. Written by the artist and produced by Federico Nardelli and Fabrizio Barbacci, it hits radio and digital platforms precisely today, August 21, 2026.

Luciano Ligabue in Brief
The debut album by Luciano Ligabue, originally titled … “E non è obbligatorio essere eroi” and later simply “Ligabue”, was released in 1990 and quickly achieved tremendous success, sealed by winning the Verde Disc at Festivalbar with “Balliamo sul mondo”. What followed were “Lambrusco, coltelli, rose & popcorn” and, in 1993, “Sopravvissuti e sopravviventi”, which, however, did not deliver the anticipated momentum. The renaissance came thanks to “A che ora è la fine del mondo?”, a title borrowed from the cover of a famous REM song. The real turning point in the Liga’s career is marked by the release of “Buon Compleanno, Elvis”, which holds beloved tracks like “Certe notti”, “Hai un momento, Dio?” and “Leggero”. The record sells 1.2 million copies. In 1997 the double live album “Su e giù da un palco” arrives, and in the summer of that year the musician embarks on his first stadium tour, “Il Bar Mario è aperto”. In 1999 the rocker releases “Miss Mondo”, while his first album of the new millennium is “Fuori come va?”, from 2002. In the same year Luciano wins Festivalbar. In 2003 the second live album by L.L. “Giro d’Italia” is released, while in 2005, to celebrate 15 years of activity, he performs at the Campovolo airport in Reggio Emilia in front of 165,264 paying spectators. Soon after, the album “Nome e cognome” comes out. A series of tours follow, along with the release of the best-ofs “Primo tempo” and “Secondo tempo”. “Arrivederci Mostro” is the title of Ligabue’s ninth studio album, issued in 2010. In 2011 Luciano Ligabue returns to Campovolo and the concert becomes the live album “Campovolo 2.011”. The artist’s subsequent LPs include “Mondovisione”, “Giro del mondo”, “G come Giungla”, the concept album “Made in Italy”, the studio album “Start”, “7” and “Dedicato a noi”. In the same years, Luciano Ligabue continues to dominate stages both nationally and internationally. His work as a director is also noteworthy, begun in 1999 with Radiofreccia and carried forward in 2002 with Da zero a dieci and in 2018 with Made in Italy. The artist is also a novelist.
