In Kingstown, a quiet Michigan town where the economy primarily rests on an efficient prison system, the McLusky family acts as a go-between for the detainees, the criminal gangs, the correctional officers, and the police; in this way, they hope to maintain a balance that, in truth, is rather fragile. However, when the situation starts to spiral, Mike McLusky — portrayed by Jeremy Renner — must do whatever it takes to prevent chaos from erupting.
