There will never be enough nor too late for more episodes of Teen Wolf in the eyes of Tyler Posey, who for years portrayed Scott McCall, a teenager who, after a bite, turns into a werewolf, setting off a series of supernatural misadventures in Beacon Hills. Spanning six seasons from 2011 to 2017 and created by Jeff Davis, Teen Wolf returned to the spotlight with a cinematic sequel titled Teen Wolf – The Movie, released on Paramount+ in 2023 and paving the way for a spin-off named Wolf Pack. A few years after that reunion, Posey revealed that he remains deeply interested in a new chapter of Teen Wolf.
Teen Wolf, Tyler Posey rekindles fans’ enthusiasm for possible new episodes: here’s what’s missing
It isn’t the first time that Tyler Posey has confronted the prospect of a return for Teen Wolf. The actor is particularly fond of Beacon Hills’ residents and, during a chat with TV Insider to promote Line of Fire, he acknowledged that there is still a chance for the fans: “There’s always a possibility, always. Yes, I’m working on it, I have some ideas. Everyone else seems excited too. We just need to get the network on board.”
But what could a new chapter of Teen Wolf tell? And, above all, would it come as a television revival or as a cinematic sequel? Posey does not have an answer for the second question, but he did reveal that his aim is to explore “more mature” themes than in the earlier seasons: “I think the fans grew up with Teen Wolf and they were teenagers themselves. It’s been fifteen years, so some of them will be at least thirty now. And I want to honor that, pay homage to the life stage they’re in now.”
It remains true that the title is Teen Wolf, a story about teenagers dealing with the supernatural. Regarding this, Jeff Davis had earlier commented on what the film’s sequel showed about Eli, Derek’s son. “The film and the TV series are titled Teen Wolf, so I like the idea of passing the baton. Vince is a fantastic kid, and I fell in love with the character while writing him, and seeing Vince bring him to life on screen was a joy. So I’d say the next version will probably be centered on him,” Davis told TV Insider, referring to Vince Mattis, introduced in the film as Eli.
