The cast of ‘Avengers: Secret Wars’ keeps growing and growing, but it’s simply because every possible superhero is needed to confront the threat of Doctor Doom. Just a few months before the release of the installment that precedes it, we continue learning about more people joining the cast, which at this point is gargantuan due to the sheer number of actors involved.
The latest addition that outlets are buzzing about and that has taken many by surprise is the young Noah Jupe, the actor known for playing children in works such as ‘A Quiet Place’ and ‘Honey Boy’. His role remains a mystery for the moment, which Marvel has chosen not to reveal, nor whether it would have continuity in future films of the universe.
Possible Mutant?
The addition of someone as young as Jupe is interesting for two reasons. The first is that his age would align perfectly with an early formation of the X-Men, Marvel’s premier group of mutants that we already know is on the way. Whether he becomes an integral part of them or not, his age would fit well with the mutants’ theme, who discover their powers during adolescence.
The other side of his addition’s intrigue is that he is Sadie Sink’s current partner, who has already made her debut in ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’. The character she plays has a main romantic interest in the comics, but in the films it was officially announced that her role is already taken by Kit Connor. Still, it could perfectly be another romance that will unfold before her big moment in future films.

Whatever role Noah Jupe will play, the truth is that, in broad strokes, we still do not know the official plot of ‘Avengers: Secret Wars’. If we base it on the comics they draw from, it would be a direct continuation of ‘Avengers: Doomsday’, after which the heroes from across the multiverse would be gathered into a single reality under the name Battleworld. There, Doctor Doom represents the supreme threat as its god and creator, representing the greatest of the evils to face in order to reclaim their original homes, if any remain.
