One Piece 3: Who Are Koza, Toto, Pell, and Chaka?
Streaming on Netflix in 2027, the third season of One Piece will see the Straw Hat Pirates set sail for the desert kingdom of Alabasta, a land of charm and culture but now teetering on the brink of a devastating civil war. After pledging help to Princess Vivi, Luffy and his crew will find themselves drawn into an ever more perilous conflict. At the heart of the story lies a rebellion that threatens to wreck the country from within, orchestrated from the shadows by Sir Crocodile, one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea, alongside his secret organization, Baroque Works. Their objective is clear: to seize Alabasta and take control of it.
In the stories of Eiichiro Oda, Koza is the leader of the Alabasta Rebellion, the rebel army opposing the rule of King Cobra, raised alongside Vivi. Toto is Koza’s father, deeply driven to secure water, even though the town of Yuba, where he lives, is now almost completely buried under sand. Pell and Chaka, meanwhile, are the two strongest warriors serving the royal family. The former has eaten the Tori Tori no Mi, which lets him transform into a falcon and fly. The latter, very close to the Princess, has eaten the Inu Inu no Mi, enabling him to transform into a jackal.
These new cast additions follow the earlier announcements of Xolo Maridueña (Cobra Kai) in the pivotal role of Portgas D. Ace, Luffy’s brother and captain of the Spade Pirates; Cole Escola (Life & Beth) as Bon Clay, an eccentric and unpredictable assassin tied to Baroque Works; Daisy Head (Darkness and Bones) as Miss Doublefinger, an agent of Baroque Works; and newcomer Awdo Awdo as his partner Mr. 1.
