Owen Wilson Returns to the Golf Course with a Goal in Mind: Official Season 2 Trailer

Even a seemingly peaceful sport like golf can deliver powerful emotions, fierce rivalries, and second chances. This is shown by Stick, the sports comedy featuring Owen Wilson, which is set to return to Apple TV with a second season packed with unforeseen challenges. The platform has revealed the official trailer for the new episodes, which will premiere on November 4, 2026, and the series will continue every Wednesday until the finale on December 30. At the center of the story is Pryce Cahill, a former professional determined to get back into the game and to prove he still has a lot to say on the course.

Stick 2: The plot and previews of the new season

Created by Jason Keller, Stick follows the adventures of Pryce Cahill, played by Owen Wilson, a former professional golfer whose career was abruptly halted twenty years earlier. After the collapse of his marriage and the loss of his job at a sporting goods store in Indiana, Pryce found renewed purpose thanks to Santi, a 17-year-old golf prodigy played by Peter Dager, whom he has decided to mentor.

In the second season, Santi will take another step toward turning professional, discovering how difficult it can be to manage expectations when talent must translate into results. Meanwhile, Pryce will begin to wonder what else might be possible for him. Driven by his former rival Clark Ross (Timothy Olyphant), the ex-champion decides to bet on himself and attempt an improbable return to competition, aiming to become the oldest player ever to win one of the sport’s most prestigious tournaments. The road will prove more complicated than expected and will force him to confront missed opportunities and the reasons why he never managed to keep the promises of the past. By his side will be the new coach Amanda (Rhea Seehorn) and his trusted caddie Mitts, portrayed by Marc Maron. Together they will help him face a challenge that could alter his future.

The official trailer of Stick 2: Pryce’s return

The trailer hints at a new chapter in which athletic competition intertwines with the personal lives of the protagonists. After investing in Santi’s talent, Pryce will have to determine whether he is still capable of competing at the highest level and whether the dream of a second career is truly within reach. The series will continue to blend humor and emotion, using golf as a backdrop to tell stories of ambition, bonds, and personal redemption. The mentor–apprentice relationship will remain central, as both will be called upon to face their own expectations and the difficulties of pursuing an ambitious goal.

The cast of the second season: Rhea Seehorn joins

Alongside Owen Wilson and Peter Dager, Marc Maron returns as Mitts, Mariana Treviño as Elena, Lilli Kay as Zero, Judy Greer as Amber-Linn, and Timothy Olyphant as Clark Ross. Among the new entrants is Rhea Seehorn, the Pluribus star, who will portray Amanda, Pryce’s new coach. The cast also includes John Higgins, Billy Zane, Rex Linn, Sasha Alexander, and Missi Pyle. The new season will again feature two renowned sports commentators, Jim Nantz and Trevor Immelman, alongside golf enthusiasts Matt Scharff and Dan Rapaport, who will appear as guest stars.
