Piedone – A Cop in Naples: The Plot of Season 2
Directed once again by Alessio Maria Federici and consisting of three episodes of 90 minutes each, the second season of Piedone – Uno sbirro a Napoli follows Inspector Vincenzo Palmieri (Esposito), the apprentice and protegido of the late Commissioner Rizzo, as he navigates increasingly complex investigations while contending with the shadows of a past that has never been resolved, in an attempt to locate Edoardo Iodice (Luigi Iacuzio), a boss who continues to elude justice. At his side is Commissioner Sonia Ascarelli (D’Amico), whose professional and personal relationship is tested by tensions and doubts, and Inspectors Michele Noviello (Balsamo) and Valentina Capezio (Susy Del Giudice), trusted colleagues who accompany him in the investigations.
To complicate matters is the Deputy Commissioner Enrico Ruotolo (Massimiliano Rossi), an imposing and not entirely transparent figure, with whom Vincenzo and Sonia are forced to collaborate despite suspicions of betrayal. Amid internal tensions and leads to follow, the investigations unfold against the backdrop of a complex yet vibrant Naples, where every street tells a story. Meanwhile, Inspectors Noviello and Capezio bring balance and lightness to the team.
