Rai 1 Suspends The Law of Lidia Poët: Where and When to Watch the Final Episodes

Don’t expect to see The Law of Lidia Poët back on Rai 1. Following disappointing audience averages, the network has suspended the Italian series starring Matilda De Angelis, two episodes away from the end of its first season. In order not to disappoint those who over the past week have become engrossed in the largely fictional adventures of Italy’s first woman admitted to the Bar, the two episodes will be scheduled differently, while plans to air a second season on free-to-air television are currently on hold.

The Law of Lidia Poët moves to Rai 3: here is when the last episodes will air

The departure of The Law of Lidia Poët from Rai 1’s schedule stems from the first four episodes’ far from satisfactory viewing averages; a series that is already available in full on Netflix, incidentally with a favorable audience response. On September 1, the first two episodes drew an average of 1.54 million viewers and an 11.2% share, losing to Hotel Costiera on Canale 5 (1.94 million and 14.4% share). Things did not improve on September 8 with the following two episodes, this time without the competition from Hotel Costiera, when the share dropped to 9.9%.

Consequently, it will no longer be Rai 1 to conclude the first cycle of the legal drama’s stories, but Rai 3, with episodes 5 and 6 scheduled for this evening, Friday, September 11, at 21:20. Then, those who wish to continue with the two subsequent seasons would probably be better off not relying on the complex dynamics of national television and continuing the viewing on Netflix, without fixed dates and times.
