Sheriff Country, a spin-off of Fire Country, is gearing up to return to the small screen with a new season packed with fiery dramas and twists through the woods of Edgewater, starring Morena Baccarin in the role of the determined sheriff Mickey Fox. But the actress, born in 1979, has over the years taken part in other famous TV series that, if you haven’t seen them yet, we recommend watching them all in one sitting!
Born in Rio de Janeiro but moved to New York at the age of seven, Baccarin began her acting career in the early 2000s in the film Fashion Crimes. Yet despite roles in several major big-screen films — including Spy, the Deadpool saga, Greenland and the recent Greenland 2: Migration — she soon realizes that television, and in particular TV series, hold a special place in her career.
From the early 2000s, she begins to appear in various successful television productions, taking on increasingly important or leading roles. Among these, the most iconic not to be missed are Firefly, Homeland – Caccia alla spia and Gotham.
Before she ever wore a uniform in Sheriff Country or played Jessica Brody in Homeland, between 2002 and 2003 Morena Baccarin was Inara Serra in the series Firefly. A space western-sci-fi where the actress dons the glamorous role of the ‘Companion’ who travels with the crew led by Captain Malcolm Reynolds aboard the starship Serenity, providing various types of ‘services’: from the more intimate to the more public-facing, such as accompanying wealthy aristocrats, politicians, merchants to gala dinners and high-society dances. Although the series was canceled after only one season, it has become a true cult classic that remains indispensable in the history of television!
For fans of high-tension psychological thrillers, we recommend Homeland.
