Lisa Kudrow, alias Phoebe Buffay, born in 1963 in Los Angeles. Although she initially followed in her father’s footsteps by earning a biology degree, she soon turned toward acting and the theater, joining the troupe The Groundlings and sensing that her career lay in acting.

She begins to take part in various films and TV series with small cameos or supporting roles; she’s noticed in the series Mad About You where she plays Ursula. But the real turning point arrives in 1994 with the series Friends, in which she portrays Phoebe Buffay and stays there until 2004, a show that catapulted her into the public eye and made her famous worldwide.

In the years that followed, she worked on a variety of projects for both cinema and television, appearing in films such as P.S. I Love You, Love and Other Impossible Places, Neighbors, Neighbors 2, The Girl on the Train, and on television series such as The Comeback, Web Therapy, Scandal, Space Force, Time Bandits and No Good Deed.

Recently she returned to HBO with the third and final season of The Comeback and starred in the horror-comedy The Parenting. Moreover, she is currently on the set of the Romy and Michele sequel, the famous 1997 comedy. On the personal front, the actress lives in Los Angeles with her husband Michel Stern, with whom she has a son.
