Two weeks before the start of the Rome Film Festival (October 13–25), the members of the three juries for the twenty-first edition were announced, the panels that will judge the films in competition. The Polish director and screenwriter Jan Komasa will preside the Progressive Cinema Competition jury, the festival’s competitive section, which includes Brazilian Alice Braga, the Jordanian, Palestinian and Canadian Saja Kilani, the Spanish director, screenwriter and editor Carlos Marqués-Marcet and the Italian-American director and screenwriter Alessio Rigo de Righi (In the photo). The jury will confer the following awards to the films of the Progressive Cinema Competition: Best Film, Grand Prix of the Jury, Best Directing, Best Screenplay, Best Actress, Best Actor, and the Special Jury Prize, chosen by the President and the jurors among other categories. Ludovica Rampoldi, Italian screenwriter and director, will preside over the jury of the Premio Miglior Opera Prima Poste Italiane (Best Debut Feature Poste Italiane Award): at her side, the French director Pauline Loquès and the Romanian-born Italian director, screenwriter and producer Corneliu Porumboiu. The prize will be awarded from a cross-section of titles drawn from various sections of the Festival. The award will see competition from 14 films. Vignale.
Finally, the Italian director Roberto Minervini will head the jury for the Best Documentary Award: with him will be the Spanish producer Andrea Queralt and the Argentine-British director Jessica Sarah Rinland.
