If you’re wondering why Sandra Bullock suddenly decided to create her own accounts across several social networks, the answer isn’t tied to promoting her new film Love & Enchantments 2, where she shares the screen with Nicole Kidman. The reason is different and far more serious. The actress has realized that this is the only way to stop scammers who use her image and impersonate her to extort money from fans. The star, who has reached 6 million followers on Instagram from April to today, spoke about this choice during a podcast titled SmartLess, and People was the first to report the news. Here is Sandra’s statement:
After a year of deceit, Bullock has therefore joined Instagram, explaining that what matters to her is the safety of her family and of the innocent victims of scams. Already in 2025 the actress had told People that she was not on any social media and she had lamented the existence of several fake profiles. Evidently this warning did not serve any purpose, and in the face of such abuses, Sandra reacted with drastic measures.
Returning to Love & Enchantments 2, this is the sequel to the 1998 comedy Love & Enchantments. Alongside the two lead actresses who reprise the roles of the Owen sisters, belonging to a line of witches, Dianne Wiest and Stockard Channing return. New faces include Joey King, Maisie Williams, and Lee Pace. Directed by Susanne Bier and written by Akiva Goldsman, the film is based on Alice Hoffman’s 2021 novel “The Book of Magic.” Filmed in England, the comedy centers on a curse that the Owen family must break, as the trailer clearly shows, which we’re happy to present again below.
