The return of Shemar Moore in the role of Los Angeles S.W.A.T. sergeant Daniel ‘Hondo’ Harrelson, in a brand-new series, is facing its end in the United States. Ahead of September 25, Starz released the official trailer for S.W.A.T. Exiles, a procedural born from the ashes of S.W.A.T., which CBS canceled after eight seasons.
The Plot and Characters of S.W.A.T. Exiles
The trailer shows Hondo receiving a fresh mission from his former commander, Robert Hicks (Patrick St. Esprit), who offers him one final chance at redemption. He must assemble and lead a brand-new S.W.A.T. unit made up of talented yet inexperienced young recruits. This group includes Sammy Bishop (Lucy Barrett), a weapons industry influencer with something to prove; Ethan Cole (Freddy Miyares), a tactical genius who is socially awkward; Cassidy Reed (Zyra Gorecki), reserved and determined to claim the spot she deserves; Jude Callan (Ronen Rubinstein), an unpredictable member with a troubled past; and Malik Anderson (Adain Bradley), sharp, ambitious, and hiding far more than anyone could imagine.
Together, under Hondo’s command, these men and women become the Exiles, a team doomed to fail, at least on paper, but resolved to prove otherwise. Soon, Hondo discovers that someone inside the unit is feeding information to external interests and begins to dismantle and rebuild the network of power and corruption.
S.W.A.T. Exiles has already been renewed for a second season. To celebrate the good news, Moore commented on Instagram: “Ayyeee!!! S.W.A.T. Exiles has officially been renewed!!!!!!
