Sorrento Professional Film Days 2026: December 1–4, 49th Edition — Accreditations Open

As announced during the most recent Venice Film Festival, the 49th edition of the Giornate Professionali di Cinema will take place, as usual, in Sorrento, from December 1 to 4, still hosted at the Hilton Sorrento Palace. The principal professional gathering of the film industry is organized by ANEC in collaboration with ANICA, with support from ACEC, and it carries a guiding thread summarized by the English motto Raise the bar, meaning “raise the bar.” The metaphor signals an invitation to further strengthen the sector, aiming to elevate the role of the cinema theater and the growth opportunities across the entire supply chain.
This year’s program includes meetings, debates and the highly anticipated Conventions in which distributors present their catalogs to exhibitors, i.e., the films scheduled for the first half of 2027 and some previews for the following semester. Of course, the closing evening will feature the ANEC Gold Tickets ceremony, the prestigious awards honoring the season’s box-office champions. During the evening, the Golden Keys will also be awarded to directors, screenwriters and performers of Italian productions who achieved the greatest box-office success. There will be previews and the Trade Show, the showcase dedicated to companies and operators within the film industry chain. Particular attention will be given to the Italy–United Kingdom focus, a forum for exchange and in-depth exploration of the ties between the two cinematic industries. At the event, as always, the city of Sorrento will be involved, with a program of initiatives aimed at both the public and schools, including previews, screenings, masterclasses and training pathways. Naturally, on the opening day, the Christmas tree will be lit in the historic Piazza Tasso.
Accreditations for the 49th Edition of the Giornate Professionali di Cinema are open and will be available on the event’s official website until November 18.
