Streaming TV Releases This Week: The Gentlemen 2, Twisted Metal, and Updates from August 31

September has begun, and to combat the nostalgia for summer that some may already consider a distant memory, streaming platforms already have a few titles perfectly suited to counteract the back-to-routine boredom. Fighting off the routine through TV series is entirely possible, even more so with new and captivating titles. But what are the new series coming out this week, from August 31 to September 6, 2026? Here are all the new releases available on NOW, Prime Video, Netflix, Paramount+, Disney+, HBO Max, and Apple TV.

Netflix Series

The Gentlemen 2

Starting September 3, 2026 on Netflix is available the second season of The Gentlemen, a thriller TV series created by Guy Ritchie and born as a spin-off of the film of the same name directed by the same filmmaker. The British TV series tells the story of Edward Horniman, who unexpectedly inherits the title of Duke and a vast estate after his father’s death, only to discover that the property in question has become part of a criminal empire. The first season, released in 2024, comprises eight episodes, just like the second, which returns with Theo James in the lead role.

TV Series This Week on NOW

Twisted Metal

From August 31, 2026 on NOW you can stream Twisted Metal, a post-apocalyptic TV series adapted from the homonymous video game series by Sony Interactive Studios America, featuring Anthony Mackie, widely recognized as a star of the MCU. Created by Rhett Reese, Paul Wernick, and Michael Jonathan Smith, Twisted Metal is set in a post-apocalyptic United States where the few intact cities have erected walls to defend themselves from raiders. The only one allowed to leave these walls is a courier who daily risks his life to deliver essential goods between settlements. John Doe, the courier known as the Milkman, is played by Anthony Mackie and must retrieve a package from New Chicago. In the United States, the series comprises two seasons, while in Italy the first season is available on NOW from August 31, 2026.

Nightsleeper – Out of Control

Entitled Nightsleeper – Out of Control, the new TV series arriving on NOW from September 4, 2026 unfolds as a high-tension six-episode story led by Joe Cole, who portrays Joe Roag, a police officer on a night train traveling from Glasgow to London that is suddenly hijacked.
