Jason Statham never seems to tire, and apparently neither does he tire of making movie after movie, all built on the same basic premise: there’s Jason who wants to live a quiet life, a villain does something incredibly evil, and Jason is forced to return as his all-time lethal weapon. This time, the setup is treated as a genuine sequel: because, obviously, The Beekeeper 2 is the film in which Statham returns to the role of Adam Clay, a man who would simply like to be a beekeeper, but who… well, you know, a role he already played in the first The Beekeeper.
According to what we see in the trailer below, this time Statham (with a beard longer than usual and behind the wheel of a 1969 Dodge Super Bee) is summoned—no less than by Jeremy Irons—to single-handedly take on the entire organization of the “beekeepers” he used to belong to. The outcomes, well: are easy to imagine.
The Beekeeper 2 will hit theatres on January 14, 2027, and behind the camera is Indonesian director Timo Tjahjanto, one of the big names in contemporary action cinema.
