The Gentlemen 2: Official Trailer Brings Great News for Fans

Eddie Horniman lifts his head—and his voice—into the official trailer for the eagerly awaited second season of The Gentlemen, just released by Netflix ahead of its September 3 premiere. The new preview comes with a special announcement: the action-packed dramedy created, written, directed and produced by Guy Ritchie will continue with a third season of episodes.

“The ambition of The Gentlemen has grown, the world has widened, and the consequences are heavier than ever. A third season seemed inevitable, and I can’t wait to push its boundaries even further,” he said, Ritchie.

The Gentlemen 2: What to Expect in the New Season

The Gentlemen follows Theo James in the role of Eddie Horniman, an English aristocrat who suddenly inherits the sprawling family estate after his father’s death. Eddie soon discovers that beneath the respectable exterior lies a highly profitable criminal operation: part of the land is used to cultivate marijuana on an industrial scale, thanks to an arrangement with a powerful criminal organization. At the head of this clandestine empire is Susie Glass (Kaya Scodelario), a sharp, ruthless and charismatic woman who works for the criminal family led by her father, Bobby Glass (Ray Winstone). Eddie initially wants to sever the operation and restore his family’s honor, but he quickly realizes that it’s not that simple. In an effort to protect the estate and his family, Eddie gradually becomes drawn into the world of London organized crime. Among eccentric gangsters, corrupt aristocrats, blackmail, betrayals and unlikely alliances, he will have to learn to play by the rules of that world.

In the second season, a year will have passed since Eddie and Susie began collaborating for Bobby’s criminal empire overseas. As they aim to expand their operation, Bobby seems to be making increasingly daring decisions. Now the two must decide whether to act or risk losing everything, but unchecked ambition never leads to anything good…

Beyond James, Scodelario and Winstone, these eight new episodes will feature the return of Joely Richardson (Sabrina Horniman), Vinnie Jones (Geoff Seacombe), Jasmine Blackborow (Lady Charlotte ‘Charly’ Horniman), Michael Vu (Jimmy Chang), Daniel Ings (Lord Frederick ‘Freddy’ Horniman), Harry Goodwins (Jack Glass), Ruby Sear (Gabrielle), Pearce Quigley (John Dixon) and Giancarlo Esposito (Stanley Johnston). Among the new faces, you’ll also recognize Hugh Bonneville (The Agency), Benjamin Clementine (Dune), Amra Mallassi (Hijack), Tyler Conti (Tell Me Everything), British professional boxer Chris Eubank Jr., TV host, presenter and entrepreneur Maya Jama, and the Italians Benedetta Porcaroli (Il Gattopardo), Michele Morrone (Una Di Famiglia – The Housemaid) and Sergio Castellitto (Conclave).
