This year, on Hulu and Disney+, Halloween will arrive earlier. The streaming release of Happy Hell-o-ween has been set for October 5, a new exclusive Halloween special episode of The Griffins dedicated to the most mysterious holiday of the year, the one where the boundary between the world of the living and the unknown seems to grow thinner. And indeed, something unforeseen happens that sends two of the animated series’ most beloved characters, including the most villainous one, to the other side, to Hell, as shown by the official trailer.
The Griffins: Plot of the Halloween 2026 Special
In the episode, Stewie and the Griffin’s faithful talking dog get involved in a nasty accident that costs both of them their lives. But instead of being the end of their adventures, this is the beginning of their most incredible adventure. They find themselves in Hell, where a punishment awaits them for their 24 seasons of misbehavior. Obviously, Stewie and Brian are not the type to meekly accept their fate, especially when it is sinister. Soon, with their trademark style, they manage to irritate the devil himself (voiced in the original by Kieran Culkin), ending up taking his place.
Happy Hell-o-ween will be one of two new special episodes of The Griffins arriving by the end of the year on Hulu and Disney+. The other, a Christmas-themed one titled The Peter Clause, will see Peter and his friends compete to become Quahog’s official Santa Claus. Peter will lose the challenge and will face two choices: to handle the disappointment with maturity or to gift the fans a memorable episode. And we already know how it’s going to end. Meanwhile, last March the announcement came from FOX about order of Stewie, a new spin-off of the series focused on the youngest member of the family created by Seth MacFarlane, following him through his kindergarten days and his journeys through time and space.
